| I had been looking for a home for over three years and dealt with different realtors along the way. One of the realtors I spoke with was Kim Elkins of Park Avenue Properties. I had taken a yearlong break from house shopping and was getting back into my search again when Kim emailed to follow up with me from when I had worked with her a year prior. It was a weekend, I had found a house I wanted to view, and I emailed Kim. She took time out of her Sunday afternoon to show me the house. As it turns out, I did not purchase that house, but Kim's willingness to help me on such short notice made me decide that she was the realtor for me. For the next few months after that, Kim communicated with me about and showed me several different properties (often showing them on a moment's notice). She not only learned my price range and my space requirements, but she also took the time to learn what we personally wanted in a home. She was up front and honest about all aspects of each home we looked at. So much so, that it began to feel like I was viewing these homes with a trusted friend instead of real estate agent. Kim could have sold me a house, but that obviously was not her top priority...she wanted to help me find the RIGHT house for me. That is exactly what she did! She found an unbelievable deal on a place I never dreamed I could find. She has been so gracious in answering my countless emails, and messages, and phone calls. Purchasing your first home can be a daunting experience at times and my hectic schedule could have made that experience much worse. But, Kim's willingness to work around my schedule and patiently address all my concerns made my home buying experience a pleasant one. Again, it felt as if a good friend was helping me each step of the way. My family and I are so thankful for Kim and Park Avenue Properties for all the help and hard work.
